Krista D. Jordan, Ph.D., ABCP, Program Director

Dr. Jordan earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. Her training in pain management began in her second year of graduate school, when she began working at an internationally recognized functional restoration clinic. She continued her education in pain management by conducting original research in the area of treatment resistant chronic spinal pain patients in a Worker’s Compensation environment. In 2005 she joined with APA to develop a comprehensive and interdisciplinary program for patients suffering with chronic pain. Dr. Jordan had already started two such programs in Austin between 1996 and 2005 and was eager to have a facility with such integrated medical care. She is an accomplished researcher in the field of chronic pain, having published an article in Spine in 1998 based on her research on the role of length of disability on rehabilitation outcomes. Dr. Jordan continues to train students in research and clinical skills relevant to this unique and challenging population.
