2009 Outcome Data

Our outcome data for patients treated in 2009 indicates that average patient in our Chronic Pain Program is represented by the following characteristics:

  • Average patient length of disability (injury) prior to entering the program – 2 years and 3 months.
  • Average number of days in program – 17 days.
  • 70% of patients returned to some kind of work or school.
    • 42% returned to the same employer and same job.
    • 2% returned to the same type of job but for different employer.
    • 8% went to a different job and a different employer.
    • 6% went to a school or work training program.
    • 2% where involved in volunteer work.
    • 2% went to a different job with a different employer and also attended school.
    • 4% where involved in volunteer work and receiving SSDI.
    • 2% where self-employed and receiving SSDI.
  • 30% were not working at one month post discharge.
    • 4% were on SSDI.
    • 26% were simply not working yet.
  • The average entry BDI-2 score was 16 (mild), at discharge 9 (minimal).
  • The average entry BAI score was 14 (mild-moderate), at discharge 7 (normal).
  • Patient satisfaction average score is 93%.
  • Family satisfaction average score is 97%.
